Physician Engagement & Advocacy

Network advocates visit with lawmakers to educate them on the issues impacting their patients and practices.

Building relationships with your elected representatives is critical for advocating on behalf of community oncology. Arranging a visit to a Network practice is an effective way of introducing policymakers to the day-to-day operations of a community-based cancer center. Meeting with your state and federal representatives is a great opportunity to advocate for access to care close to home in the community setting. The US Oncology Network facilitates site visits as well as opportunities for our physicians to advocate on Capitol Hill and “Legislative Days at your State Capitol” with each of our practices within The Network. With your help, officials and their staff can see how the policy decisions they make have a direct impact on the care their constituents receive at home.
