Affiliated Oncologists Hosts Congressman Sean Casten (D-IL)

On Monday, May 1, Affiliated Oncologists (AO) hosted Congressman Sean Casten (D-IL) at their Chicago Ridge practice to share their 50-year journey as a practice rooted in the community.  Led by Executive Director Rhonte Davis along with Practice President Dr. Amar Hamad, Vice President Dr. Ghassan Zalzaleh, Practice Administrator Jennifer Barker, Director of Operations Diane Lube, and Director of Pharmacy Toral Patel toured Rep. Casten around the facility discussing some of the important issues facing patients at AO.

Congressman Casten was able to meet several staff and patients to gain a better understanding of the work and care delivered at Chicago Ridge.  Some of the challenges shared with the Congressman included PBM oversight, health systems consolidation pressures, physician fee reimbursement, value-based care and 340B.
