Blue Ridge Cancer Care Hosts Congressman Ben Cline (R-VA)

On Monday, April 24, Blue Ridge Cancer Care (BRCC) hosted Congressman Ben Cline (R-VA) at their Salem, Virginia practice to showcase the care delivered to the Blue Ridge Mountain region.  Dr. Andrew Fintel and Dr. Kimberly Aderhold, led by Practice Director Donna Harber and Practice Administrator Cathy Alcorn and several staff showed Rep. Cline around the facility discussing some of the pressing issues facing BRCC. 

Congressman Cline was able to talk with staff and patients to learn more about their work and experience at BRCC along with some of the issues they are facing such as increasing physician fee reimbursement cuts and PBM intervention causing delays in care.  Dr. Fintel and Dr. Aderhold also spoke of their great work as part of the Oncology Care Model saving Medicare $18 million through BRCC’s work in the program and their continued emphasis on value-based care. 

As a member of the House Committee on Budget, Appropriations, and Judiciary, Congressman Cline was excited to learn about the great oncology care being delivered in the district.  The Network looks forward to working with Congressman Cline on these issues impacting community oncology care.
